Privacy Policy
Last Updated: June 26, 2026
Loan Officer Tools ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our web application, landing page, and mortgage calculator services (collectively, the "Service").
Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Information
When you register for an account or use our Service, we may collect the following personal data:
- Name and email address
- Company name and professional title
- Profile information (logo, phone number, NMLS ID)
- Payment and billing information (processed securely via Stripe)
Calculator and Presentation Data
When you use our calculators and create presentations, we store the input data and calculated results you provide. This may include loan amounts, interest rates, property values, and client names you enter into the tools.
Usage Data, Cookies, and Tracking Pixels
If you grant explicit consent via our privacy banner, we automatically collect certain tracking information when you visit our landing page, including:
- Google Analytics (GA4): We use GA4 to track general page views and specific "tool_used" events to help us optimize platform performance.
- Meta Pixel (Facebook): We use the Meta Pixel to track standard PageView events for advertising and cross-contextual marketing analytics.
- Internal Performance Metrics: Separately, we run a first-party analytics pipeline (
base44.analytics.track) to monitor aggregate calculator usage. This data is strictly internal, used solely for system health, and is never shared with external ad networks.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- To process transactions and manage your subscription via Stripe.
- To generate presentation documents and reports via a secure third-party PDF generation API (API2PDF).
- To personalize your experience and deliver branded presentations.
- To send you service-related communications (e.g., account verification, updates).
- To detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraud.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Your Choices and Cookie Controls
We respect your right to control your tracking preferences. Upon your first visit to our public landing page, you are presented with a clear choice:
- "Decline Non-Essential": Choosing this option strictly blocks Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel from initializing, loading scripts, or tracking your session.
- "Accept All": Choosing this permits these tools to load normally.
- You can clear your browser's local storage or cookies at any time to completely reset your preferences.
4. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA / CIPA)
If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Invasion of Privacy Act (CIPA) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of the "sale or sharing" of personal data.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Any "sharing" of session data for behavioral advertising via third-party tracking pixels is strictly conditional and only occurs if you actively opt-in using our landing page consent banner.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We share data with trusted third-party platforms required to host and run our services, specifically Stripe (payment processing) and API2PDF (document generation).
- Shared Presentations: When you create a shareable presentation link, the presentation data (calculator results, your branding, and client name) is accessible to anyone with whom you choose to share that link.
- Legal Requirements & Business Transfers: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, or in the event of a corporate merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
6. Data Security, Retention, and Children's Privacy
- Security: We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to encrypt and protect data. However, no internet transmission is 100% secure.
- Retention: We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. You may request account deletion at any time.
- Children's Privacy: Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
